More than 50 years ago, local hometown pharmacies were not just places to have medical needs fulfilled, they were also well known and loved as favorite stops where patrons could dine on freshly made burgers, fries, and real specialty soda drinks. They enjoyed the company of great friends and neighbors while sitting at tables with bench seats or �up to the counter� on round, brightly colored, sparkling swivel stools.

Now, those special times live again at Parley�s Place Diner located inside Salem Hills Pharmacy at 118 N. Main Street in Salem, Utah! The clock has been rolled back to capture the nostalgic old fashioned feel of a 1950�s to 1960�s retro style diner that teems with a fun, welcoming atmosphere and great food!

Choose from a fine variety of delectable diner specials, including our popular Angus Beef Burger on a homemade bun with hand cut French Fries! Parley�s Place also features old fashioned specialty sodas, including Iron Port, a huge favorite �of the day.� We even have phosphate drinks which feature a bit of sour flavor, yet are very enjoyable. And, you can have drinks mixed to your liking! Naturally, we serve delicious shakes, malts, banana splits, and sundaes! Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times!

How Parley�s Got Its Name

By his own admission, owner Brent Warren, a native of Salem, Utah, and also owner/pharmacist of Salem Hills Pharmacy, has a way of �hanging fun nicknames� on people. His wife, Maureen, is no exception! According to Brent, not long after they were married, he began calling her �Parley�, a name that has family history to it. The name stuck!

Both Brent and Maureen worked together creating their delightful diner, although Maureen oversees the day to day operations. She is also largely responsible for the d�cor and wonderfully warm and inviting �look and feel� the facility has. So, when they were considering a name, �Parley�s Place� was chosen, with a little urging from Brent!� It�s a perfect fit! Congratulations, Maureen (Parley) on creating such a wonderful atmosphere for all to enjoy!
